The story of "Micki's Song"

    This song is far more personal than any I have yet written. I started writing this several years ago after the death of my girlfriend Micki in Sept. 2001 from lung cancer. It all happened very fast from start to finish. She started getting sick, tired and losing weight quickly. After a few test she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given a month to live, she passed quietly with her family in the room at the hospital 3 weeks later.
 
     As time went by I found that there was a hole in my existence with her passing that was not easily or quickly filled. We had a relationship that started slow as we lived 2 hours away from each other but it had gotten stronger as time went on. Just as we got to the point where we were talking about moving in together she got sick, and there was no more time left. "Download Lyrics Here"
 

    Micki was a wonderful girl with a great sense of humor. On our very first meeting she described herself as just "another hippy chick" In in many ways this was not far from the truth at all. She loved life and having fun, and truly was a bit of a free sprit.
 
   Between time and pouring emotion into this song I have finally moved on and let the past go, but there will always be a place in my heart for Micki.
 

        It is my hope that you enjoy this song as much as I have enjoyed writing and recording it and my wish for you all is the very, very best that life has to offer.
